Urology

Our focus

Transforming lives with comprehensive treatment options to support kidney stone removal, prostate health, erectile restoration and continence.

Amy’s story

Delivering meaningful innovation

As a leader in urology, we are committed to impacting patient care by providing safe, quality and effective long-term treatment options. Our technologies, many of which are first-of-their kind and minimally invasive, help healthcare providers treat a wide range of common yet complex urological conditions affecting the patients they serve. We aim to improve the standard of care and fulfill unmet needs through continuous innovation and world-class support.

Advancing kidney stone management

Boston Scientific conducted research around the world to study how flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures are being conducted and how they can be improved. This research indicated that retrieving kidney stones is one of the most time-consuming steps during ureteroscopy procedures. The insights gathered resulted in StoneSmart™ Solutions — our vision to transform urologic stone care and address some of the biggest challenges urology providers face today.*
