Boston Scientific’s LATITUDE Remote Monitoring System

Get more from monitoring

Your LATITUDE home monitoring system gives your doctor access to healthcare data from certain cardiac implants such as pacemakers and defibrillators between office visits. It is designed to improve the convenience and quality of your care while providing peace of mind.

Understanding your Communicator

The LATITUDE Communicator collects information from your cardiac device and automatically sends it to your healthcare team. LATITUDE can also monitor and send your weight and blood pressure data, giving your doctor useful information in making your treatment decisions.

The Communicator does not conduct continuous monitoring. Your Communicator checks your implant based on a schedule set by your doctor.

Collected data is sent to a secure website for your doctor to review.

icon

LATITUDE does not program or reprogram any function of your implant. Its purpose is monitoring and sharing information with your doctor to optimize your care.

icon

If your Communicator stops working or goes off-line for any reason, don’t worry, your implant is not affected.

The Communicator does not contact 911 during a health emergency. If you are not feeling well and need assistance, call your healthcare provider or dial 911.

Knowing the benefits

LATITUDE may substantially improve survival for cardiac patients. Our LATITUDE study found people using LATITUDE home monitoring over the five years of the study had a 50% relative risk reduction of death compared to people who only went to the clinic for implant checks.1

Confidence in security

You can feel confident knowing LATITUDE uses advanced security methods to protect your medical information. Only authorized healthcare providers can access your information through our secure clinician website.

The Communicator should not be connected to a digital phone interface, such as those commonly used in some businesses, hotels, and managed care facilities where telephones are typically provided by the facility.  Your Communicator is designed to be used in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
