Clinical data
Network Meta-Analysis, presented by Dr. Gregg W. Stone, MD
In a network meta-analysis of 20 randomized trials involving 12,428 patients, PCI guided by intravascular imaging (IVUS or OCT) showed significant improvements over angiography guidance alone, with reductions in all-cause mortality, myocardial infarction (MI), and other key outcomes. This emphasizes IVUS’ role in enhancing procedural success and patient safety.
RENOVATE-COMPLEX PCI
This study shows intravascular imaging (IVUS)-guided PCI reduces the risk of target vessel failure (TVF) compared to angiography-guided PCI in patients with complex coronary lesions. This reduction in risk underscores the importance of IVUS in improving outcomes for patients with complex coronary artery disease (CAD). Learn how the RENOVATE-COMPLEX PCI trial showed that optimal procedures reduce restenosis and improve outcomes.
