Randomized comparison of a radiofrequency wire versus a radiofrequency needle system for transseptal puncture1

Faster transseptal puncture and reduced fluoroscopy

The VersaCross™ radiofrequency (RF) wire-based transseptal workflow for RF ablation resulted in a faster time to transseptal puncture, compared to an RF needle-based workflow.

Key takeaways

Achieved 25% faster time to first transseptal puncture (TSP)

Achieved 32% faster total TSP time

Observed 30% lower trend for overall fluoroscopy time

25% faster time to first TSP, with less variability in procedure time

32% faster total TSP time, with less variability in procedure time*

30% lower trend for overall fluoroscopy time*
