SEISMIQ™ Intravascular Lithotripsy System

SEISMIQ technology

Get the most from every pulse

SEISMIQ combines advanced deliverability, enhanced visibility, and consistent acoustic pressure to get the most of every pulse. It was purposefully designed to give physicians control, whether navigating challenging anatomies or delivering targeted therapy with clarity and precision.

How SEISMIQ works

SEISMIQ’s advanced laser energy source is distributed through optical fibers, then converted to acoustic pressure waves by generating a plasma event when the laser energy hits each emitter's metallic backstop within the balloon. The initial plasma plume fractures the calcium, while a secondary cavitation bubble further expands the fractures.

The technology

Consistent acoustic pressure means you don’t have to worry about “high” or “low” sides of each emitter. The output is even across all emitter stations, creating a more predictable therapy experience, and allowing you to focus on emitter placement & strategy vs. adjusting for inconsistent output.

SEISMIQ IVL Console

The SEISMIQ IVL Console is the capital component of the SEISMIQ intravascular lithotripsy system, designed to power and control SEISMIQ catheters during therapy. It provides an intuitive, touchscreen interface and delivers the laser-based energy that is converted into acoustic pressure waves in the catheter.
