TruSelect™ 2.6 Microcatheter

Frequently asked questions

FAQs

Find answers to common questions about the TruSelect 2.6 Microcatheter, including design features, embolic compatibility, indications, and differences from other microcatheters.

TruSelect 2.6 combines the precision and trackability of a 2.4 F with the flow and embolic compatibility of a 2.8 F in one tool. It eliminates traditional trade-offs by bringing trackability, torque, and flow together in a single platform.

TruSelect 2.6’s propriety braid design combined with a multi-segment distal shaft design provides the perfect balance of track and push allowing smooth tracking of the microcatheter through tortuous anatomy.

The full‑length 4x4 tungsten wire braid delivers near 1:1 torque response and smooth navigation through tortuous anatomy.

TruSelect 2.6’s torque response enhances the performance of its hand-shapeable tip. This torqueability also supports smooth navigation through tortuous anatomy, and allows physicians to select branches come off at steep angles.

No. The tip is hand‑shapeable without heat or steam.

Yes. The hand‑shapeable tip retains shape inside the body similar to pre-shaped tips.

TruSelect 2.6 is available in Straight and 80° Bern, both hand-shapeable.

TruSelect 2.6 is compatible with coils requiring up to 0.025" ID, spherical embolics up to 900 μm, non-spherical particles up to 710 μm, Y-90 products including TheraSphere™, liquid and conformable embolics, including Obsidio™.

TruSelect 2.6 is available in usable lengths of 105 cm, 130 cm, and 155 cm, with 1 and 2 RO marker options.

The TruSelect 2.6 Microcatheter is intended to provide a conduit for the selective infusion of diagnostic, embolic, or therapeutic agents to target vessels within the peripheral vasculature during endovascular procedures. The microcatheter is coaxially tracked over a steerable guidewire to access the distal peripheral vasculature. Diagnostic, embolic, or therapeutic agents should be used in accordance with specifications outlined by the manufacturer.

TruSelect 2.6 builds on the TruSelect platform by adding a unique 4x4 tungsten braid that enables a hand-shapeable tip, a larger 0.025” inner diameter, expanded embolic compatibility, and higher flow performance, while maintaining the proven trackability associated with TruSelect.
