Using your penile implant

Spectra™ Concealable Penile Implant

How to use your penile implant

The Spectra™ Concealable Penile Implant is often recommended to men with limited dexterity or mobility. The implant includes a pair of semi-rigid cylinders placed inside the penis. The cylinders are bendable, so the implant can be manually lifted up for intercourse and manually pushed down when not in use.

Your implant in action:

  • Once positioned in place for intercourse, your penis will be stiff and rigid like a natural erection which will last as long as you desire1
  • Your implant will be completely undetectable and no one will know it’s there unless you choose to tell them

SPECTRA™ CONCEALABLE PENILE IMPLANT

Your doctor is your best source for information on the risks and benefits of the Spectra™ Concealable Penile Prosthesis. Talk to your doctor for a complete listing of risks, warnings and important safety information.

The Spectra™ Concealable Penile Prosthesis is intended for use in the treatment of male erectile dysfunction (impotence). Implanting a penile prosthesis will damage or destroy any remaining natural ability to have a natural erection, as well as make other treatment options impossible.

Men with diabetes, spinal cord injuries or skin infections may have an increased risk of infection. Implantation may result in penile shortening, curvature or scarring.
