Rezūm’s 5-year clinical trial, conducted by Kevin McVary, M.D., and Claus Roehrborn, M.D., was published in the Journal of Urology in September 2021. It was a multicenter, randomized, sham-controlled trial of Rezūm Water Vapor Therapy in men with moderate-to-severe LUTS due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), with the inclusion of the final surgical and BPH medication retreatment rates.

The GOLIATH Study was the first head-to-head trial to compare the safety and efficacy of the GreenLight XPS 180 W Laser Therapy System with transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). It was conducted as a prospective, randomized, multicenter study in nine European countries. A total of 291 patients from 29 sites were enrolled between April 2011 and September 2012.
