Access and equity

We are dedicated to reducing health disparities and expanding access to care worldwide, regardless of socioeconomic status, geography or background.

Expanding market access through evidence

Our Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams use economic, clinical and real-world evidence to generate evidence that demonstrates the value of our therapies.

  • We generate and publish peer-reviewed health economic research to strengthen the evidence available to payers and healthcare decision-makers worldwide.
  • We engage with global payers and health technology assessment (HTA) organizations to inform decisions about the adoption and funding of innovative medical technologies.
  • Through participation in international policy forums such as Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi), we collaborate with global stakeholders and help advance understanding of the value of MedTech. In 2025, we hosted the Asia Policy Forum delegation at our Penang facility, the first HTA visit to an industry site, helping shape how payers and HTA agencies across Asia evaluate medical technologies.

Expanding access to care for underserved patients

We work to improve access to care for communities facing systemic barriers.

For more than two decades, our Close the Gap (CTG) initiative has focused on expanding access to care for underserved patients. Through initiatives like CTG, we are identifying patients at risk of missing treatment, increasing diversity in clinical trials and equipping providers with targeted education — advancing science that improves outcomes while expanding access to life-changing therapies.
