A hybrid approach to carotid revascularization that combines the protection of surgery with the benefits of a less invasive procedure.
How it works
The ENROUTE Transcarotid Neuroprotection System prevents embolic debris from reaching the brain during carotid revascularization by reversing blood flow. Instead of using a distally placed filter, it collects debris in a flow controller filter and returns filtered blood through a sheath in the femoral vein.

This study evaluated usage of the ENROUTE™ Transcarotid Stent System in conjunction with the ENROUTE™ Transcarotid Neuroprotection System in high surgical risk patients with carotid artery stenosis. 692 patients were treated across 43 sites, with 81% of the physician enrollers being new TCAR operators.
