The AMS 700™ Inflatable Penile Prosthesis with TENACIO™ Pump

It starts with a squeeze.

The TENACIO Pump

Engineered so every squeeze counts

Powering the AMS 700 Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP), the TENACIO Pump is designed to move fluid efficiently and build rigidity. It is engineered to respond to a wide range of pumping styles, from light, quick pulses to deeper compressions, adapting to differences in patient strength and dexterity.

The prominent, intuitive deflation button that is responsive from multiple angles, facilitates returning to a flaccid state in a single press.

HARD Series: Gratitude

One patient's journey to reclaiming his sense of self and quality of life

Initially devastated by his ED following a prostatectomy, David Moss, 65, decided to explore treatment options. His physician wanted the treatment option that, in her experience, "provided the most reliable outcome," and so she chose the AMS 700 with TENACIO.

Innovation at your fingertips

Identification

The prominent pump bulb grips and unique landmarks are designed to orient and stabilize the pump in the scrotum.

Inflation

Engineered for reliable and efficient inflation, regardless of pumping style.

Deflation

The high-profile, one-press release button immediately initiates deflation.

How TENACIO works

Efficient fluid transfer

TENACIO’s design—from the valve block to the bulb—supports fluid movement throughout the compression stroke, so each squeeze can contribute to building rigidity, while managing internal pressure during use to preserve system reliability.

  •  Independent valve functions designed to limit mechanical failure, including sticky pump
  • Valve design intended to reduce oscillation and increase tactile feedback
  • Dedicated anti-auto inflate valve designed to prevent unexpected inflation
  • Designed to downregulate internal pressures to preserve system reliability

Broad compression range

The TENACO Pump is designed to perform across a range of squeeze styles—fast or slow, shallow or deep—aligning with how different users, with different hand strength, may activate the pump.

  • Designed to activate for a wide user profile by accommodating fast (2.5 in/s) and slow (0.25 in/s) activation squeeze rates
  • The direct fluid pathways are designed to enable efficient inflation as compared with the MS Pump™. In bench testing conducted by BSC (n=5), TENACIO was found to have a 27% faster refill rate as compared to the MS Pump*
  • The pump grip design is intended to impact squeeze efficiency by promoting a centered finger placement on the pump bulb

*Bench testing or pre-clinical study results may not necessarily be indicative of clinical performance

One-press deflation

A prominent deflation button is designed to respond to direct or off-axis presses, supporting a smooth deflation experience to a flaccid state.

  • Deflation button designed to guide finger placement during deflation and be distinguishable from the valve block
  • Off-axis presses can still initiate automatic deflation—designed to accommodate one-handed operation
  • Designed to prevent unintentional deflation when subjected to deflation button side loading
  • Designed to be natural and discreet by operating quietly during deflation (and inflation)

Protected with the power of InhibiZone™

The AMS 700 IPP with InhibiZone is the only antibiotic-impregnated inflatable penile prosthesis on the market clinically proven to reduce revision surgery due to infection.

  • Eliminates extra steps required for device prep and soaking due to impregnating InhibZone into the surface of the prosthesis during the manufacturing process
  • InhibiZone creates a zone of inhibition, effective against the bacteria commonly associated with IPP infections1
  • Proven reduction in infections: 56% reduction (from 2.5% to 1.1%) in revisions due to infection in first-time implant patients2; 32% reduction (from 3.7% to 2.5%) in secondary revision procedures due to infection3; 65% (from 4.17% to 1.47%) in initial revisions due to infection in high-risk patients with diabetes4
