InhibiZone™ Antibiotic Treatment infection protection

The AMS 700 is the only antibiotic-coated IPP line available impregnated with clinically proven InhibiZone — a proprietary combination of antibiotics, rifampin, and minocycline (M/R). The elution of the antibiotics creates a zone of inhibition surrounding the device, designed to be effective against bacteria commonly associated with IPP infections.

Results from three studies showed:

56% reduction (from 2.5% to 1.1%) in revisions due to infection in first-time implant patients¹
32% reduction (3.7% to 2.5%) in secondary revision procedures due to infection²
65% reduction (from 4.17% to 1.47%) in initial revisions due to infection in high-risk patients with diabetes³
