Bulkamid™ Urethral Bulking System

Mid-urethral slings for stress urinary incontinence

Boston Scientific offers several mid-urethral sling systems designed for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence (SUI).

The mesh assembly of the Solyx™ Single Incision Sling System is designed to be placed away from critical structures, such as the obturator bundle, and the carrier snap-fit on the delivery device tip is designed to facilitate control during placement.

Other sling options include the Ultra Retropubic Mid-Urethral Sling Family, Advantage™ and Advantage Fit™ Transvaginal Mid-Urethral Sling Systems, the Lynx™ Suprapubic Mid-Urethral Sling System, and the Obtryx™ II Transobturator Mid-Urethral Sling System.

Male SUI treatment options

AMS 800™ Artificial Urinary Sphincter

Considered a gold standard treatment for male SUI, the AMS 800 Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) is for the treatment of urinary incontinence due to reduced outlet resistance following prostate surgery with demonstrated outcomes:

  • One study of 57 male patients found approximately 90% of long-term (more than 10 years) patients are satisfied overall.1
  • Published long-term studies determined that 60–96% of patients that underwent primary and secondary AUS implantation reported using 01 pads per day (PPD) following their procedure.*2
  • 94% of 148 patients surveyed would “definitely” or “probably” recommend the surgery to a family member or friend.3
