Employee health and safety

We maintain a safe and healthy workplace through proactive risk management, global standards and continuous improvement.

Governance and performance

We take a global approach to health and safety, aligned with our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policy. Our performance is monitored through defined metrics, including a companywide Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) target and individual targets for each operational site.

Our EHS Operations Council reviews global safety performance monthly to assess trends, identify risks and drive continuous improvement.

Our safety framework

Our approach is guided by five principles that help ensure a comprehensive and proactive safety strategy:

  • Leadership engagement to promote accountability and oversight.
  • Employee engagement to encourage participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Risk management focused on mitigating high-risk activities and advancing ergonomics.
  • Digitalisation to enhance data reporting and improve decision-making.
  • Standardisation through ISO certifications, internal standards and regulatory compliance.

Standards and certification

We continue to strengthen our safety performance across our global footprint.

Recent progress includes:

  • ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety certification at 18 manufacturing and distribution sites.
  • Ongoing alignment with international standards and regulatory requirements.

Occupational health and workplace accommodation

We maintain a centralised occupational health process to help ensure workplace accommodation requests are handled efficiently, consistently and confidentially.

This approach enables employees to perform essential job functions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies, supporting both individual well-being and long-term organisational strength.
