Spinal Cord Stimulation
Spinal Cord Stimulation, or SCS, can help Chronic Pain - even when other therapies have failed. SCS sends electrical impulses that trigger nerve fibers along the spinal cord, masking the pain message traveling to the brain. When this happens, the painful sensation is replaced with a soothing, tingling sensation.
SCS may be prescribed for chronic intractable pain of the trunk and/or limbs, including unilateral or bilateral pain associated with the following: failed back surgery syndrome, intractable low back pain and leg pain. Many people with failed back surgeries have had success with the SCS. It is most commonly used to treat low back and lower extremity pain. Thousands of patients with severe chronic painful conditions have received relief with spinal cord stimulation. Learn More
Innovation Focused on
Designed for more coverage, more flexibility, and advanced control, the Precision Spectra SCS System is engineered to provide more pain relief to a broader spectrum of patients.
Like Precision Spectra, Precision Plus can control the amount of current delivered to each and every contact. With 16 contacts and 16 dedicated power sources, Precision Plus allows you to precisely target pain in increments of 0.04 mm - the width of a human hair.
Introducing unmatched lead options designed to give you greater flexibility. Now with additional percutaneous leads and splitters, Boston Scientific provides the most percutaneous lead configuration options of any SCS manufacturer.
