BT delivered by the Alair™ System, is a safe outpatient procedure for adult patients with severe asthma. The Alair System uses mild heat to reduce the amount of excess airway smooth muscle tissue in the airways. Less muscle tissue means less airway constriction during an asthma attack, allowing patients to breathe more easily.
