74% reduction in hospitalizations

Reduce hospitalizations

HeartLogic is proven to reduce hospitalizations for decompensated heart failure by 74% and hospitalization length of stay by 56%.6 This could significantly reduce resource utilization, waste per patient and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the healthcare system.3,4

With HeartLogic 29.2kg*

This equates to a reduction of

88% In greenhouse gas emissions7

* Estimates based on rate and mean length of stay for heart failure admissions reported in Treskes et al. (2021) and data from sustainable care pathways guidance: Inpatient bed day.7 Estimates exclude impact of non-inpatient care prior to admission (e.g., primary care support or acute medical unit management), possible surgical treatment or visitors during hospital stay.

Waste Reduction

Hospital

A hospital can produce more than 480 tonnes of waste each year.5

Hospital Bed

3 to 13 kg of total waste is generated per patient per bed day depending on level of acuity.4

An estimated 20-25% is plastic waste.5

…there could be a reduction of up to 71 tonnes of waste which equates to an 88% decrease in waste per 1,000 patients per year.6
