S-ICD Therapy: from Evidence to Practice

This course provides cardiologists and electrophysiologists with an evidence-based overview of the S-ICD System and a structured, stepwise approach to the full clinical workflow. The course integrates a review of key clinical evidence with practical instruction in patient screening, anaesthesia management, and implantation techniques. Hands-on sessions using 3D torso models will reinforce procedural skills and support best practices aimed at minimizing complications and optimizing clinical and cosmetic outcomes.

Target audience: Electrophysiologists with limited S-ICD implant experience (approx. ≤5–8 implants in the past 12 months). Delegates from S-ICD implanting centres only.

The training programme S-ICD - From Screening to Follow-up is designed to provide allied professionals with knowledge on the S-ICD System, from the screening process (including the use of the Automated Screening Tool) to device implant and follow-up.
