Ewan Nolke, PD Co-op
Biomedical Engineering, University of Limerick

Working within the Process Development team I gained hands on experience working on FMS (Fluids Management system) which really developed my knowledge and understanding of the product.
I also got an opportunity to work on various projects which enriched my knowledge and improved my overall skills as an engineer. I have really enjoyed my time at Boston Scientific and look forward to learning more and more every day during my placement.

James Madigan – Co-op 2022
Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics – University of Limerick

My time as a Co-op in Boston Scientific has given me an Insight into the world of medical devices and the engineering behind them. Working in R & D, I have benefitted from experiencing a collaborative approach to problem solving and the development of new technologies. I have gotten hands-on experience with cutting edge materials and their novel use in implantable medical devices, which has informed the areas of physics I would like to study in the future.

Stephen Willis – Co-op 2022
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering – University of Limerick

For me, Boston Scientific is an extremely rewarding and informative Co-op experience. I have been able to develop skills that coincide with my mechanical engineering course, like the use of engineering software, hands-on testing and design testing that gets done in the lab. I can see how changes in test set up would affect results such as flow rates. Through my experience here I now have gained great knowledge on the R&D work that goes into developing a new product.

Callum Meagher – Co-op 2022
Electrical Engineer – Munster Technological University

Working within Boston Scientific Clonmel has been a great experience, I have learned a lot in my time here and gained first-hand knowledge of the process of manufacturing printed circuit boards. What I have learned will stay with me forever as it has expanded my knowledge within the biomedical world and made me a better engineer for it. I was fortunate enough to have a brilliant team around me as they all thought me so much and welcomed me into a very friendly work and learning environment.
