The Grants team reviews the request for completeness, applicant eligibility, required documentation, and alignment with the grant process.

Requests that require escalation or additional review may be submitted for additional review before a funding decision is made.

Approval and contracting

If approved, the applicant may be required to complete a grant agreement or other required documentation before funding is issued or support is coordinated.

Payment, support coordination, and Post-Event requirements

Approved funding or support is provided in accordance with applicable requirements. Where required, the recipient may need to confirm use of funds and provide post-event documentation.

Only complete applications will be considered for review.

How Boston Scientific may support eligible educational grant requests

Educational Grant requests may be supported through one of the following pathways, depending on the type of request, the nature of the educational activity, and whether logistics support is required.

Pathway A: Support through Boston Scientific's preferred logistics partner network

For eligible educational grant requests involving healthcare professional conference attendance support, Boston Scientific may support the request through its Preferred Logistics Partner network. Approved logistics support is coordinated through a Boston Scientific-approved logistics partner to help ensure support is managed consistently, transparently, and in accordance with applicable requirements. If logistics support is needed, please indicate this in your application.

Pathway B: Direct educational grant funding to the Healthcare Organization

Boston Scientific may provide funding directly to an eligible healthcare organization that is requesting educational grant support for HCP attendance at a third-party conference or organizing an independent third-party educational event. Where funding is provided for indirect HCP sponsorship, payment will only be made directly to the requesting healthcare organization. Boston Scientific will not provide payment to another agency, intermediary, travel provider, or third-party entity.

Pathway C: Conference support through the Event sponsor or preferred conference organizer

For eligible conference support requests, Boston Scientific may provide funding through the official event sponsor or the event sponsor's contracted preferred conference organizer. Boston Scientific will not fund intermediary travel agencies, HCO-selected logistics agencies, or other applicant-selected third-party logistics providers outside the approved support model.

Complete applications / Required documentation

Applications must be submitted with sufficient lead time before the activity or conference date to allow for appropriate review, approval, contracting, payment, and, where applicable, logistics coordination. At a minimum, all educational grant requests must be submitted at least six weeks before the conference or activity date.

Requests involving international or intra-regional travel may require additional lead time due to the time needed for review, coordination, booking, visa considerations, and other travel-related requirements.

Requests submitted with less than six weeks lead time, or without sufficient time to complete required review and coordination, may not be considered.

To support timely review, applications must include all required information and documentation requested in the application form. Incomplete applications may be delayed or returned for additional information.

Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. Boston Scientific maintains an independent grant review process. Grant funding decisions are based on legitimate educational purpose, applicant eligibility, available funding, compliance requirements, and applicable review criteria.

Grant funding must not be used to influence or reward any purchasing, prescribing, recommendation, formulary, referral, or other business decision. Boston Scientific must review and approve the request before any funding commitment is made or logistics support is coordinated.
