Boston Scientific Programme of Activities in Support of MedTech Week 2020

MedTech Week runs from 12-16 October and the theme this year is once again ‘Creating Solutions for a Healthier Tomorrow’. In a year dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s more poignant than ever to highlight the positive impact of MedTech on the healthcare system and the lives of friends and families in our communities. Boston Scientific is proud to support #MedTechWeek with the following programme of activities.

Friday 9 October     

“Managing COVID: lessons learned from the EMEA experience” webinar hosted by IMSTA

Darragh Tolan, VP Endoscopy EMEA for Boston Scientific is keynote speaker as part of IMSTA’s inspirational “Art of the Possible” lunchtime series. Darragh reflects on his experience of COVID-19 as one of the leading co-ordinators of the company’s response in EMEA and leader of the Endoscopy business division in the region. “The needs of the patient – what's changed” webinar 1-2pm UK, sponsored by Boston Scientific

As COVID hospital admissions begin to rise again, huge challenges present themselves for patients who need the NHS most. Join us for a discussion with highly regarded patient group leaders, to find out what has changed for patients with long-term chronic conditions, what will be the impact on patients if there is a significant Second Wave, and how could patients be better supported in this ‘new normal’ world of uncertainty.
