Health Camps for Underprivileged Children (2018)

In continuation to Boston Scientific’s commitment towards giving back to the society, we identified that strategic partnerships can strengthen diagnosis, treatment and care for patients and community programmes can help keep people healthier.

Thus we entered into a partnership with the not for profit organization – SMILE foundation. The theme for the CSR activity on this occasion was “Health Camps in Underprivileged Societies” and hence Health Check-up camps were organized across India in 8 cities.

Highlights

  • 8 simultaneous Health Camps were conducted all over India.
  • 2063 Patients covered through the camps.
  • 1989 Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.
  • 1270 pathological tests.
  • 47% women beneficiaries and 31% children beneficiaries.

A Five days Health Camp organized in the national capital region in November 2019 in the form of health tutorials and health checkups for more than 800 children.

The Healthcare Camp was fully volunteered by Boston Scientific employees, including both regional and global senior leadership.

NGO Sukarya’s visit to the Campus (2018)

NGO-Sukarya, working in the field of Women Health, Empowerment and Integrated Rural Development, visited our corporate campus.

Sukarya has its presence in certain districts of Haryana through its various programs. The NGO set up kiosks to sell and show case their products within the Boston Scientific campus and the employees contributed with an Intent to support sustainable development in the surroundings.

Blood Donation Camp (2019)

India organized a Blood Donation drive in collaboration with Rotary Blood Bank, New Delhi.

46 blood units were successfully donated by the team members out of 54 donors.

As an honor, Rotary Blood Bank presented a memento of appreciation to Boston Scientific.

ICU on the Wheels (2019)

Team India provided a Charitable Donation to a Donee organisation for procuring a “State of art ICU on wheel (Highly Equipped Ambulance)”.

The Ambulance will be used by the Donee to serve underprivileged patients and answer the unmet health care needs and will be inaugurated by state dignitaries in the near future in Gujarat.

Kalakriti – Art Exhibition (2019)

In an in-house art exhibition, a total of 42 art/craft entries were received from employees and auctioned to a whooping sum of INR 41300.

This was donated towards emergency medical expenses for one of the campus security personnel.
