Overview

Boston Scientific engaged Equitas Health, a recognized expert serving the needs of the LGBTQ+ community, to create a new course specifically for physicians: Clinical and Professional Considerations for the LGBTQ+ Population. In this course, you will hear from experts in LGBTQ+ patient care, including Equitas Lead Trainer, Ramona Peel (She/Her), Christopher, McClung, MD (He/Him), a Reconstructive Urologist in Columbus Ohio, and Jan Huebenthal, PHD (He/Him), Associate Director of Education for Equitas Health.

Description

The eLearning course consists of 3 modules that are approximately 20 minutes each and can be taken at your own pace. Each module will focus on a different aspect of considerations for patient care in the LGBTQ+ population.

    1. Foundations of LGBTQ+ Identity and Lived Experience

    2. Operationalizing LGBTQ+ Cultural Humility in Clinical Practice

    3. Cultural Sensitivity in the Clinical Setting
