GUIDE™ DBS Software (GUIDE DBS) is a simulation system that allows you to plan the programming of a patient with a Vercise™ Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) System. GUIDE DBS uses a patient’s pre-op Magnetic Resonance (MR) and post-op Computerized Tomography (CT) to display the simulated DBS lead(s) relative to an anatomical atlas.
Boston Scientific provides many implantable products and accessories designed to work with the Vercise™ DBS Systems. Innovative leads are designed for durability and precise control of therapy. Adapters allow in-pocket conversion to the Vercise IPGs, while available surgical tools facilitate the DBS procedure.
Vercise DBS is the first system engineered for precise neural targeting to customize therapy for patients with Parkinson’s disease, primary and secondary dystonia, and essential tremor. The rechargeable system offers unique features including the longest battery life available for DBS therapy and the smallest stimulator footprint.1,2
Vercise PC DBS is the smallest and thinnest 16 contact non-rechargeable implantable pulse generator (IPG). An advanced programming interface is designed to offer greater precision, flexibility and options for improved patient outcomes. The IPG, featuring Multiple Independent Current Control (MICC) with current steering technology, powers the Vercise Cartesia™ Directional Lead that precisely controls the size and shape of stimulation for customized therapy. Together, the Vercise PC IPG and Vercise Cartesia Directional Lead form the world's first and only directional system for unmatched neural targeting.
