Listen to Dr. Paolo Della Bella’s perspective on the advantages offered by the RHYTHMIA Mapping System. He explains the clinical value offered by the system’s unique combination of greater density, higher resolution and rapid automation.
RHYTHMIA System users have had the opportunity to experience high-definition mapping. In this section, you will find several of them discussing both specific cases and their overall experience with high-definition mapping.
This case specifically highlights how the density, resolution and automation of the RHYTHMIA mapping system facilitate Dr. Peter Gallagher’s assessment and treatment strategy of this patient’s set of complex scar-related arrhythmias.
Atrial Flutter Case
In this study, Dr. Paul Mounsey reviews two typical flutter procedures. Both of these cases were classic cavotricuspid isthmus dependent atrial flutters. The first was a de novo ablation, and was fairly straightforward. The second case presents a redo case where the RHYTHMIA System was used to identify gaps in previous ablation lines.
Hybrid AF Case
View Dr. Paul Mounsey’s summary of Hybrid Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation Using the RHYTHMIA™ Mapping System. This is a case of a 65-year-old man with a 10-year history of Atrial Fibrillation. In this case, the RHYTHMIA System is used to check for gaps in the epicardial lesions created prior to Dr. Mounsey’s endocardial procedure.
Dr. Paul Mounsey of UNC Center for Heart and Vascular Care describes how the RHYTHMIA System has “set a new standard” in 3D mapping. This five-minute clip details the key features of the system he and his team have been using since the system was installed.
Mounsey Case Studies
View Dr. Tom Wong’s summary of Ablation of Atrial and Dual-loop Ventricular Tachycardia in a Patient with Congenital Heart Defect: Guided by the RHYTHMIA Electroanatomic Mapping Solution. The patient, a 54-year-old man, had previously gone through a Ross Procedure but, years later, was admitted to the hospital with two different types of tachycardias.
Dr. Tom Wong of Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust describes how the RHYTHMIA System has "set a new bar" in 3D mapping. This five-minute clip details the key benefits his team experienced while using RHYTHMIA and highlights results from a paper published in JACC Clinical Electrophysiology.
