Case Usage of EXALT Model D
Single-Use Duodenoscope

Dr. Adarsh Thaker, Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, presents case footage demonstrating scope passage into the duodenum in a patient who is prone, and use on a patient with multi-focal biliary obstruction.

Adopting A Single-Use Platform

Having adopted the EXALT Model D Platform, a physician at a rural community hospital was able to perform ERCP and treat a patient within their own facility. Having this single-use option makes it possible to perform ERCP without the investment of reusable duodenoscopes and related capital equipment.

Patient Story

An elderly man living in a remote area of the country presented with a bile leak and had previously traveled five hours to a hospital to undergo ERCP where a stent was placed. When the time came for the stent to be removed the patient requested his physician conduct the procedure at a hospital close to home. With EXALT Model D Single-Use Duodenoscope, the surgeon was able to do so.

The Advantages of Having EXALT Model D Single-Use Duodenoscope

  • Makes the purchase of a reusable system unnecessary
  • Saves time spent on training staff on duodenoscope reprocessing
