    Community outreach

See some examples of our recent community outreach and health awareness initiatives in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Runners from Boston Scientific in Germany take part in the Düsseldorf Marathon each year to raise funds for "Regenbogenland", a children’s hospice charity that is a home for children who have a reduced life expectancy due to an incurable disease or a severe disability. This institution wants to help families to spend together with their child the time that is left in the best and positive way as possible.
Boston Scientific employees in the Czech Republic support Beauty of Help, a local charity dedicated to providing elderly people in the community with a better quality of life. Through activities like spending time walking with elderly clients, our employees help senior citizens to have local experiences that may not have been possible independently.
Boston Scientific launched an Earthquake Appeal to support the town of Treia, in Italy, which was devastated by an earthquake back in 2016. The funds raised through the appeal secured a new school for the town’s children.

    Focusing on health issues

We work hand in hand with patient associations and with other partners to raise awareness for some of the world’s largest health challenges, from chronic pain to heart disease.
Boston Scientific employee Slavi Nestorov climbed Mount Everest on May 19, 2018, to encourage men to talk about their health issues and to raise funds for research into prostate and testicular cancer, conditions which remain taboo for many men despite their prevalence. Read more >>

Together with ISAL, we are committed to defeating chronic pain.
