Carotid Artery Stenting: Technique, Tools and Procedure
Program Overview:
This course provides the information to develop a sound knowledge base of the carotid artery stenting process. Topics include patient considerations, a general procedure review, and general information related to post procedure care including a thorough review of potential complications.
Program Objectives:
Upon completion of this continuing education program, the participant should be able to:
- Describe considerations related to carotid artery stenting pre-procedural patient evaluation
- Understand and describe a general approach to carotid artery stenting procedure and tools utilized
- Understand peri-procedural and post-procedural patient care considerations
- Understand complications that could arise from the carotid artery stenting procedure
Intended Audience:
This program is intended for registered nurses and radiologic technologists.
Program Location/Availability:
Program is presented in-person and held on-site at a hospital.

Requirements for Successful Completion
Attendees are required to sign-in on the attendance sheet. Obtaining full credit for this program depends upon attendance from beginning to end. The presenter will monitor the program for attendance for the entire program, and attendees should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their attendance. Participants are requested to complete the pre- and post-evaluations for the program.
