Vena Cava Filtration

Program Overview:
Vena Cava Filtration is a treatment option for pulmonary embolism (PE). This educational module explains the causes, signs and symptoms of pulmonary embolism and various diagnostic procedures for PE. It also provides a snapshot of various vena cava filter designs cleared for U.S. use today.

Program Objectives:
Upon completion of this continuing education program, the participant should be able to:

• State the causes and incidence of
• Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
• Pulmonary Embolism (PE)
• List the typical diagnostic tools and techniques for pulmonary embolism
• Explain typical treatment options for pulmonary embolism
• Describe vena cava filtration

Intended Audience:
This program is intended for registered nurses and radiologic technologists.

Program Location/Availability:
Program is presented in-person and held on-site at a hospital.

CE programs are subject to change. Courses are held on site unless otherwise indicated by your local Boston Scientific Representative.

Requirements for Successful Completion
Attendees are required to sign-in on the attendance sheet.  Obtaining full credit for this program depends upon attendance from beginning to end. The presenter will monitor the program for attendance for the entire program, and attendees should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their attendance. Participants are requested to complete the pre- and post-evaluations for the program.
