First Patient Implanted in Boston Scientific's Long-term Surveillance Registry

The first patient implant in the Longitudinal Surveillance Registry (LSR) recently took place at Trinity Medical Center in Tyler, TX. The primary objective of the LSR is to prospectively evaluate market-released implantable pacemakers, defibrillators, and leads to verify long-term system performance.

ACUITY™ Spiral, Left Ventricular Lead, has been implanted in three countries: Portugal, Netherlands and Austria!

The first implantation of ACUITY™ Spiral took place in Portugal on Tuesday the 1st of April, with excellent results. Acuity Spiral has been submitted for approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration but is not currently available for sale in the United States.
