New Devices to Treat Heart Failure and Sudden Cardiac Death

  • The first implants of Boston Scientific's COGNIS™ cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) and TELIGEN™ implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) were performed in Europe in late February. Boston Scientific plans to build to a full launch in Europe and other international markets in the second quarter. COGNIS and the TELIGEN are pending approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are not available for sale in the United States.
  • The first implants of Boston Scientific's LIVIAN™ cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) and CONFIENT™ implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) have occurred in both the United States and Europe as part of the worldwide product launch. CONFIENT and LIVIAN launched in the US the week of March 9th and full EU and other international market launch is expected in the second quarter.

    New Educational Materials
