Thus, in the spirit of Dr. Mirowski's life, the Mirowski Award recognizes individuals who have made fundamental contributions to the understanding and/or treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. In addition, the award is intended to raise public awareness of the enormous value of biomedical research in the area of heart rhythm disturbances. |
