Small Business Subcontracting Policy

Boston Scientific is committed to the sustained support of small and diverse suppliers who share our dedication to improving the quality of patient care.

As part of our procurement process, we will proactively provide maximum practical opportunities for Small Businesses, certified Minority-Owned Businesses, certified Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Veteran-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses and, certified HUBZone Businesses.

This will be accomplished by the following:

• Maintaining the Boston Scientific Supplier Registration Portal
• Active membership in local, regional and national organizations that support small and diverse suppliers.
• Participating in outreach activities that support small and diverse suppliers.
• Researching qualified suppliers through supplier directories/databases.
• Counseling small and diverse businesses on Boston Scientific procurement procedures and expectations, to enhance their potential participation.

As a prime subcontractor to the US Federal Government, Boston Scientific will continually seek qualified companies for future subcontracting opportunities in keeping with existing procurement policies and applicable federal regulations.
