Procedures and Treatments
Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a surgical treatment which can help manage some movement disorder symptoms. DBS is typically used to treat people with advanced Parkinson's disease (PD), dystonia, and essential tremor (ET) whose symptoms are no longer controlled by medication. DBS is a well-established, safe, and effective treatment that helps improve day-to-day experiences and quality of life for these patients.Learn More
Vercise DBS is the first system engineered for precise neural targeting to customize therapy for patients with Parkinson’s disease, primary and secondary dystonia, and essential tremor. The rechargeable system offers unique features including the longest battery life available for DBS therapy and the smallest footprint of any multiple source stimulator available.3
Vercise™ PC is a small and slender, 16 contact non-rechargeable implantable pulse generator (IPG)². The advanced programming capabilities of Neural Navigator 2 with STIMVIEW technology provide stimulation visualization, helping you achieve flexibility, precision, and options for your patients. Boston Scientific MICC technology powers the Vercise Cartesia™ Directional Lead; when used in tandem with the industry leading software of Neural Navigator 2, patients will benefit from the unmatched sophistication of the world's first fully directional DBS system, when used in tandem with the leading software of Neural Navigator 2, patients may benefit from the unmatched sophisticated of the world's first directional DBS System¹
GUIDE™ DBS Software is a simulation system that allows you to plan the programming of a patient with a Vercise Deep Brain Stimulation System. GUIDE DBS uses a patient’s pre-op Magnetic Resonance (MR) and post-op Computerized Tomography (CT) to display the simulated DBS lead(s) relative to an anatomical atlas.
Boston Scientific provides many implantable products and accessories designed to work with the Vercise DBS Systems. Innovative leads are designed for durability and precise control of therapy. Adapters allow in-pocket conversion to the Vercise IPGs, while available surgical tools facilitate the DBS procedure.
Spinal Cord Stimulation, or SCS, may offer hope for many of the estimated 100 million people who suffer from chronic pain. SCS sends electrical impulses that trigger nerve fibers along the spinal cord, masking the pain message traveling to the brain. When this happens, the painful sensation is replaced with a soothing, tingling sensation. SCS may be prescribed for chronic intractable pain of the trunk and/or limbs, including unilateral or bilateral pain associated with the following: failed back surgery syndrome, intractable low back pain and leg pain. Many people with failed back surgeries have had success with the SCS. It is most commonly used to treat low back and lower extremity pain. Thousands of patients with severe chronic painful conditions have received relief with spinal cord stimulationLearn More
Innovation Focused on
Designed for more coverage, more flexibility, and advanced control, the Precision Spectra SCS System is engineered to provide more pain relief to a broader spectrum of patients.
Like Precision Spectra, Precision Plus can control the amount of current delivered to each and every contact. With 16 contacts and 16 dedicated power sources, Precision Plus allows you to precisely target pain in increments of 0.04 mm - the width of a human hair.
Introducing unmatched lead options designed to give you greater flexibility. Now with additional percutaneous leads and splitters, Boston Scientific provides the most percutaneous lead configuration options of any SCS manufacturer.
Treating pain is complex.
Making it simple is our mission.
At Boston Scientific, we are dedicated to providing best-in-class solutions engineered to enhance OR efficiency.
The New Shape Of Pain Relief
Designed to enhance patient comfort and simplify the implant procedure Precision Novi is the world’s smallest, thinnest 16 contact primary cell spinal cord stimulator system with a unique contoured shape.
Built on proprietary Illumina™ 3D pain targeting software, MultiWave™ Technology offers the flexibility of multiple waveforms, within a single device, for a customized SCS therapy.
MultiWave™ technology offers waveform options with smooth paraesthesia or without perception, designed to allow you to customise the therapy to each unique patient
