The Company is consistently expanding investment in new technology, which supports our mission of “Delivering What’s Next” in less-invasive therapies. In addition to the Company’s internal investments, Boston Scientific is committed to investing in external, or acquired, R&D through acquisitions and investments in new businesses. Boston Scientific’s rate of investment actually exceeds most of our peers in the medical device industry, and is spread out across all our businesses. We will continue to invest heavily in our collective futures by developing less-invasive products and procedures, and through the acquisition of new technologies that will better enable physicians to treat their patients.
