ICD (Defibrillator) Implantation
An ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator), or defibrillator, is implanted to help stop dangerously fast heart rhythms.
Pacemaker Implantation
A pacemaker is implanted to restore a normal heart rate in a heart that would otherwise beat too slowly.

Pericardiocentesis is a procedure used to drain excess pericardial fluid from the pericardial sac.
