Advancing Stent Design for Drug Delivery in Long Lesions

Introducing the TAXUS Liberté Long Stent System, the only 38mm length drug-eluting stent (DES) approved for use in the United States.

Engineered for Consistent Drug Distribution

  • Unique, uniform repeating cell geometry supports even drug distribution and delivery
  • Hybrid cell design allows for strength, flexibility and conformability
Drug Comparison

Designed for Improved Deliverability in Long Lesions

  • 27% thinner struts (0.0038")1
  • Low stent crossing profile (0.046")
  • Lowest tip profile (0.017")
  • 10% more trackable stent delivery system1

Improved Stent Apposition and Uniform Neointimal Coverage

  • 25% more uniform neointimal coverage and improved stent apposition2
  • Consistent low levels of neointimal volume

Neointimal Coverage

Stent Reduction Rates

*Using the same inclusion criteria (lesions ≥26mm and ≤34mm), a significantly higher percentage of patients in the TAXUS Express Stent control arm required multiple stents to cover the lesion.

In the TAXUS ATLAS Long Lesion Trial, the primary endpoint was met, with a statistically significantly lower 9-month analysis segment Percent Diameter Stenosis for the TAXUS Liberté Long Stent versus the TAXUS Express Stent control (31.65% ± 17.24% versus 32.57% ± 19.28%, p=0.0010).
