ALTRUA™ Pacemaker Family

The ALTRUA family of pacemakers deliver the benefits of natural pacing by accurately sensing and responding to the body’s signals. AV Search Hysteresis is designed to reduce unnecessary RV pacing without dropping beats, an MV Blended Sensor restores chronotropic competence1, and Stored Onset EGMs collect vital diagnostic data without sacrificing device longevity.

ALTRUA pacemakers provide physiologic pacing that can be tailored to fit the specific needs of patients.

Overview

ASSURANCE

Confidence in performance: Peace of mind for you and your patients
  • Engineered through Aurora, Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management’s continuous-improvement program.
  • Enhanced features and robust design are built on the experience of the INSIGNIA platform, reflecting the best of Boston Scientific’s industry-leading experience.
  • Stored Onset EGMs, nominally ON, means you don’t have to choose between collecting valuable diagnostic information and device longevity.
  • Enhanced header features redesigned set screws, seal plugs, and the addition of MED-420 lubricant designed to improve overall function of the header.

ENHANCED THERAPY

Diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities to tailor therapy to meet specific patient needs

Managing RV pacing
The ALTRUA 60 series offers an AV Delay extendable to 400ms.

  • Multiple programming options provide increased flexibility and are designed to minimize unnecessary RV pacing.
    - Fixed AV Delay: 10ms – 400ms
    - Dynamic AV Delay: Extendable up to 400 ms
    - AV Search Hysteresis (AVSH): Extendable to 400ms maximum, allowing more time for intrinsic ventricular conduction to occur after an atrial event
  • AVSH extendable to 400ms is designed to promote intrinsic conduction without dropping ventricular beats.

Restoring Chronotropic Competence
ALTRUA’s MV Blended Sensor is designed to restore chronotropic competence in patients of all ages.1

  • Designed to provide a physiologic response to varying levels of physical work.
  • MV Blended Sensor can detect changes in motion and minute ventilation (respiratory rate and tidal volume). Accelerometer senses changes in motion but cannot respond appropriately to increased workload in daily activities such as carrying groceries, walking upstairs, and household chores.

Collect Valuable Diagnostics
Stored Onset EGMs provides a more complete snapshot of patients’ rhythm before, during, and after an event without sacrificing battery longevity.

  • Using Onset has a negligible impact on device longevity because stored EGMs were integrated into the original device design*.
  • Clinical diagnosis using a stored EGM cannot be achieved in up to 61% of episodes without an onset EGM2.
  • Stored Onset EGMs (nominally ON) make it possible to detect and diagnose events in patients that are asymptomatic.
*Provides up to 31 events/110 seconds of dual-channel EGM storage with minimal (<0.5) longevity impact.

EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE

Family of devices to meet a variety of patient and physician requirements: For an excellent brady treatment experience, look to the ALTRUA Pacing System from Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management.

  • The ALTRUA Pacing System portfolio includes ALTRUA 60, 40, and 20 series of devices, offering an array of features and functionality.
  • White seal plugs are designed to provide improved sealing and better visibility for increased efficiency at implant.
  • World-class support from a company you can rely on.
