Employee Stories

Kirsten, Marketing Manager

Work/life balance is important at Boston Scientific. And it’s certainly become more important to me since I’ve become a manager and I now have a team of people for whom I’m responsible. Everything we do at Boston Scientific is about improving patient lives. And so it would certainly be counterintuitive to be improving patient lives but not improving the lives of the people within your own organization. So it’s important that you have happy and fulfilled employees. That they’re able to pursue their hobbies and interests, that they feel supported here. That they feel comfortable taking their vacation hours that they’re entitled to. Or taking those sick days that matter and so there’s been tremendous support within our division here whether it’s maternity leave or vacation or time for bereavement. People’s families matter and people’s lives matter and happy employees are productive employees.
